Here is part two of our tinted VP Antico relief stencil wall décor!

Pulling inspiration from embroidered beaded pillows, we wanted to add muted colors, a slight touch of metallics, and a very light dry-brushing effect.

To control the opacity of our dry-brush effect, we added a small amount of acrylic matte finish paint to our Matte Clear Finish. This allowed us to create a subtle faux linen effect and seal the foil accents all in one layer. The entire piece received one final coat of Matte Clear Finish (with no paint added) for protection.

Artisan @paintwithjim‘s expertise in patina is highlighted through these finishes. ✨ By layering VP Antico (Venetian Plaster), tinted Scumble glazes, and metallic foils, he creates incredible textured metallic finishes.

We`re back with more tinted Scumble techniques! 🎉 This week we`re exploring how to tint scumble with paint. We`ll be sharing two looks with paint to compare.

On one side we used a soft blue matte paint to tint our Scumble glaze medium. We love this technique for creating copper patina and watercolor glaze effects.

Artisan @forestlife3413 has been exploring the world of texture in art! 🎨This piece started as a chalk sketch on black canvas. Then VP Antico plaster was added to the work for depth. To bring the piece to life, paint was layered over the plaster texture. We can’t wait to try this technique!

Fall is the perfect time to get crafty!

Every year we have fun using pumpkin canvases to experiment or build multi-technique layered designs. Our first pumpkin creation drew inspiration from some of the hottest fall décor trends – think black and white tones, floral elements, metallic accents, ribbons, ceramic pieces, and delicate textured finishes! The entire pumpkin was sealed with Clear Finish Gloss.
